Lead Worker Training

In an effort to increase the capacity for trained individuals to work in lead hazard reduction projects, the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), in collaboration with the Community College Workforce Alliance (CCWA), is offering Lead Worker and Lead Supervisor training as part of DHCD's Lead Hazard Reduction Program (LHR). Trainings will cover lead disciplines including worker and supervisor, and all trainings are open to subcontractors. Attendees will become certified and qualified to pursue licensure in their specific discipline as is required by law. Because of these specific legal requirements, the program considers this training to be essential in ensuring the DHCD-LHR is successful and that the Virginia community is well served.
